The area has 5 spectacular golf courses, each presenting individual challenges and characteristics, just a few minutes drive from the villa.  Guests at Vale dos Pinheiros are able to obtain discounted fees and guaranteed starting times at many golf courses in the area, including Quinta do Lago North and South.

The lakeside water sports centre, just a few minutes walk away, has sailing boats, windsurfers, and pedaloes for hire.  There is an extremely good restaurant situated on the lake, and there are a number of restaurants, serving mainly fish, along the long golden beach which can be reached over the picturesque bridge crossing the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve. 

At the entrance to the resort there is a supermarket, shops, bars, restaurants, hairdressers, doctors and dentists.
